*chirp*

Lawks a mercy.  I haven't sold anything since Saturday.  I'm hardly getting any views.  This perplexes me because I have more things up than ever, lots of big brand names, larger sizes, even several items that are new with tags.  I'm assuming part of this is because I'm getting lost in the crowd.  I am reading that people are being tight with money because tax season is coming up, but not EVERYONE in the world is doing this.  Surely someone would want a NWT Talbot's skirt, a prom dress, or some name-brand men's clothing?

Tyler and I are getting serious about the house buying business so I've been too preoccupied with that to really stress over eBay crap, but not hearing my little "ka-ching" in three days is getting pretty old.

I get to go to jury duty tomorrow.  Notice how I say "get to" and not "have to".  That's how much I hate going to my job.  Baby will be at day care and I think I only have to go in for orientation, so that leaves me some good thrifting time since I'm supposed to be done by 10:30.  I figure I'll devote an hour or two to that and then go pick up Addy.  Although, it seems like any purchases will be in vain, I did set a listing goal of 175 for the month and I'm at 161, so maybe I can at least accomplish something.

  2. Lots and lots of sellers are just like you. Folks are complaining all around. When I was ready to give up you encouraged me to hang in there and things turned around for me. I know they will do the same for you.

  3. My eBay selling has been dead slow too--it's not just you! I'm trying to be patient, listing away, trying to raise my totals just by sheer numbers of listings! I've only done this since July 2011, and my totals went slowly up and up steadily, until last month, where things just DRAGGED. This month has been worse. I'm thinking of putting a sale on to hopefully get people over their 'Watcheristis'--yeah, I've got those too! But I hate to lose the 10-15%, since I offer Free Shipping. I'm seriously re-thinking that, as I think I'm losing sales to lower start prices...even though w/ shipping it costs more than my same item!

  4. Woke up this morning to no sales. Lots of items ended last night with watchers (since the first day of the listing) and no bids. $4.99 w/2.50 shipping for an antique printing block isn't unreasonable. So what's up? Is everyone expecting to buy stuff for .99 with free shipping? Yesterday I got the message about the free listings......at 4:00 in the afternoon! I didn't have time to write up new listings, so I just relisted a bunch of stuff. Big Sigh.

  5. I wondered about the sales aspect (as far as having a sale), but I decided since I am not receiving as many views as I usually get it would be fruitless. I just have to wait it out and keep listing new stuff!

  6. Cindy, my sales never work. For some reason, I continue to try them, and they continue to fail me. I will probably lay off of them for a while.
